About Egypt Equine Aid
Egypt Equine Aid (EEA) is an Australian-registered charity founded in July 2014, dedicated to improving the welfare of working horses and donkeys in Cairo, Egypt. Our free equine veterinary clinic provides essential medical care to animals suffering from injuries, illnesses, and neglect.
At the core of Egypt Equine Aid is our free veterinary clinic, where we offer life-saving treatments to working horses and donkeys in need. From emergency care for injuries and illnesses to preventive treatments and rehabilitation, our clinic provides vital services that many owners would otherwise be unable to afford. Our dedicated veterinary team treats conditions like colic, lameness, tetanus, and infections, ensuring that these essential animals receive the care they deserve to live healthier, pain-free lives.

End Egypt’s horse tourism
Using horses in Egypt’s tourism industry raises concerns about animal welfare and ethical treatment. Many horses endure long work hours in extreme heat, without adequate rest, food, or water. Furthermore, some are subjected to harsh training and live in poor conditions. Transitioning away from using horses in tourism and promoting alternative, more humane forms of transportation and entertainment is essential for ensuring the well-being of these animals. By advocating for responsible tourism practices and supporting initiatives prioritising animal welfare, we can work towards a more ethical and sustainable tourism industry in Egypt.
